The January recruitment period proves to be a period of feverish speculation and possible big-money moves. Numerous prominent players are being linked with moves away from their current clubs. Here is a look at a selection of the top names who are poised to be on the move this month.

A. Semenyo

Although the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, which has kept the forward in contention, it appears a significant transfer is close. The 25-year-old has a contract with a substantial buy-out clause applicable for a two-week period at the start of the month. Latest developments point to the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his signature. Former interested parties such as Tottenham and Chelsea are said to have moved on to alternative targets, leaving teams such as Manchester United or Liverpool to make a late move.

M. Guéhi

This English defender has excel for Palace despite a previous move to Liverpool collapsing.
